Pupil Groups

At Gorsemoor Primary School, we believe the natural curiosity and voice of each individual must be valued, nurtured and encouraged in order for our pupils to flourish in a stimulating and safe environment.
Learning at Gorsemoor is enhanced by exploring the thoughts and feelings of our pupils, who have an important role in improving every aspect of school life.  We provide our children with the opportunity to contribute to school improvement because we believe that listening to learners is fundamental to their wellbeing and crucial to our commitment to providing the best possible learning environment.

Our vision
The development of pupil voice will enable learners to explore and share their views of school and their experiences as learners.  In this way, we will ensure that pupils have a greater involvement in establishing an ethos in which we are truly ‘Growing together, hand in hand’.  Through mutual collaboration and increased ownership of their learning, we will ensure that our pupils are engaging and motivated learners.

Our Pupil Groups

During their time in school, pupils have the opportunity to join many different pupil groups, where they can share their own views and represent those of their peers.  These include:
• The Junior Leadership Team
• Eco Warriors
• School Council
• House Team Captains
• Play Leaders

Our pupil groups are always happy to welcome visitors to school, to explain more about their role and current priorities.
