Gorsemoor Sing-a-long and sign
Every Tuesday, 9.30am-10.00am
Term time only
Here at Gorsemoor, we are delighted to introduce our new sing-a-long and sign group for parents/carers within the local community. We recognise the importance of singing to children from a young age in order to develop early language, communication and speech. Rhyme, rhythm and repetition in songs provide children with the opportunity to develop new vocab and phonological awareness. Our sing-a-long and sign sessions will be hosted by our experienced nursery team, who will deliver a short family singing groups, singing some traditional nursery rhymes and some of our new favourite songs. Along side the singing, we will use Makaton to sign-a-long to some of the traditional nursery rhymes, supporting very early communication skills. You will have the opportunity to spend some one on one time with your child, meet other families from the community and become apart of our Gorsemoor family, building those early relationships with staff.
Everyone is welcome to attend our welcoming and relaxed sessions. Simply come along to the side entrance, where a member of staff will greet you on arrival (the gates will be opened at 9.20am). On arrival, staff will ask you to fill in some simple paper work - allowing us to keep a register of those attending each week.
So, join us for our weekly 'Sing-a-long' and sign session every Tuesday morning, 9.30am-10.00am (term time only). For children aged 1 to 3 years. Each session is £1.00.
Please note that an adult must stay with the children during these sessions. Places are limited, so booking is recommended.
